RRGGBB in the color cube

In 24–bit color, each of the three primary colors can have any value from 0 to 255, or 00 to FF. A color is specified by three numbers, in the same order used to refer to the additive color model: RGB. So pure Yellow would be FFFF00 (Red plus Green), and a medium Blue might be 000080. Black is 000000, White is FFFFFF, and any color with all three primaries at the same level is a shade of gray (e.g. 303030, DDDDDD).

Any color with all three values equal to either 00 or FF is on a corner of the cube. A color with two such values is on an edge, and a color with one is on an exterior surface. All other colors lie in the interior of the cube.
